| Me Descreveria Como | I am a 55 year old nurse that had an above the knee amputation in May 2013 as a result of complications of a basketball injury and subsequent service connected Navy injury. I just got a prosthesis and am learning how to use it. I am ashamed to have to use my wheelchair so it shouldn't take too long to learn how to use this new leg. I have dogs and a horse which keep me getting up and going every day. I hope that some day I can meet someone that I don't have to explain all of these things to. I have a lot to offer and don't want to be defined by this amputation. I am an honest, loyal person...maybe a little too sensitive and scared. I would like to make a good friend. |
